If you were settling in to wait days or weeks for your iPhone X pre-order to come through, you might want to check again.
Though Apple hasn’t made any formal announcements about changes in availability, many people are now reporting their iPhone X orders are being moved up several days, or even weeks, ahead of their original estimates.
Shipments were backed up by at least five to six weeks within hours of pre-orders opening last Friday. Now, though, some shipments are being moved significantly ahead of schedule, according to widespread reports on social media.
More anecdotal evidence iPhone X orders are moving faster: my mom’s 11/10 order from Verizon is now on track to be delivered 11/3

Notably, this doesn’t seem to be happening with all pre-orders, and it’s not clear if this more prevalent for certain carriers, or people taking advantage of Apple’s trade-in program.
Whatever the case, though, it looks like Apple is going to be making at least some iPhone fans very happy in the next few days as they get their phones quicker than expected. Of course, that’s little comfort to those who will still have to wait weeks to get the phone, but if pre-orders are already moving at a faster clip, there’s at least some reason to hope more could be moved up ahead of schedule as well.
