DataRobot simplifies AI collaboration with New Notebook Feature

Artificial intelligence (AI) startup, DataRobot, has launched DataRobot Notebooks, a fully integrated notebook solution within its AI platform. The new feature is designed to make collaborations across code-based workflows easier by allowing data scientists to create a notebook with just one click.

DataRobot is a company that specializes in streamlining AI software development processes. Its flagship product, DataRobot AI Cloud, is a user-friendly AI building tool that enables people without coding skills to generate machine learning models.

Creating an AI model typically involves three key processes: selecting the right neural network algorithm, modifying it and training it using test data. DataRobot AI Cloud simplifies the tasks associated with these stages, and also includes advanced capabilities that make feature engineering, the process of choosing important data points for the AI to consider, more efficient.

Notebooks are an essential tool for data scientists, enabling them to quickly experiment with AI models and share their findings through interactive computations and code snippets. The launch of DataRobot Notebooks is particularly beneficial for technical users who work with AI.

However, as machine learning projects grow and generate more notebooks, the management of technical dependencies and libraries can become more challenging. This is where DataRobot Notebooks come in, providing a unified environment with centralized governance features and fine-grained access controls, which allow data scientists to organize, collaborate and share notebooks and other assets securely.

DataRobot Notebooks are fully compatible with the popular Jupyter Notebook standard, making it easier to onboard users. The notebooks come with predefined, preinstalled containerized environments that include commonly-used open-source machine learning libraries such as NumPy, Seaborn, scikit-learn, and SciPy.
